Famous beaches on the Ile de Ré

The north of the island is particularly well known for its concentration of some of the most beautiful beaches on theIle de Ré. These include the family beach of Trousse chemise, which Charles Aznavour wrote a song about, and the 3-kilometer-long Conche des baleines, which stretches as far as the Phare des baleines. Water sports enthusiasts can head to Plage du Bec and Plage du Lizay, two of the island's 3 renowned surf spots.
